After a good night’s rest, we pack our things and continue our journey. For those who wish, there will be an opportunity to climb the Michelangelo hill again or take an early walk through the quiet, pre-dawn Florence. This is where the "walking" part of the tour ends — from now on, we’ll be traveling by car.
Around midday, we arrive at Casale Satriano — our home for the next few days. It’s a large and cozy house located next to the winery of the largest producer of Sagrantino wine — one of the finest local wines. The winery owners, the Antonelli family, are our good friends. We will definitely visit their restaurant, where the famous Italian chef Giorgio cooks.
There is a swimming pool at the house, so don’t forget your swimsuits!
After checking in, we’ll head out to photograph the sunset in the charming town of Todi. Todi is a small medieval hilltop town with enchanting views over the Tiber Valley. Its narrow streets, arches, and stone houses seem to transport you back to the Renaissance era, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and authenticity.
The central square, Piazza del Popolo, is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy: here rise the majestic 13th-century palaces — Palazzo del Popolo, Palazzo del Capitano, and Palazzo dei Priori — as well as the Cathedral of San Fortunato. The square’s harmonious space is perfect for architectural and street photography.
At sunset, Todi becomes especially magical: the soft light bathes the town and the surrounding hills in a golden glow, turning every scene into a living painting. For a photographer, this place is an endless source of inspiration — panoramic views, cozy corners, and the authentic charm of old Italy. Todi is a town where every shot feels filled with history and warmth.
